Harlequins England Rugby Academy sponsored by Eteach

The Harlequins England Rugby Academy is one of 14 similar academies based around the country. The Academy will develop rugby excellence in selected athletes aged 16 to 21 years-old and will deliver services in association with Rugby Football Union staff, educational institutions and the English Institute of sport.

The objective of the Academy is to enhance the performance of identified potential elite rugby players and to enhance their personal, education and vocational development opportunities. The standard will necessarily be high and it is anticipated that all Academy Scholarship Holders will move onto professional contracts in due course.

The Academy is based in Roehampton, which has outstanding facilities for the delivery of a programme that incorporates not only rugby specifics but uses the latest sports science developments to enhance the rugby programme.

Components such as strength and conditioning, sports medicine, physiology, psychology and nutrition form an integral part of the programme. Presented by specialists in their field, these components provide the best care and development of players.
