The Richard Langhorn Trust

The Richard Langhorn Trust became one of Harlequins Community Sponsors in January 2001, before becoming the clubs designated charity in the summer of 2005.

The Richard Langhorn Trust was founded in 1994 in memory of Harlequins player Richard Langhorn, who tragically died that year having served the club for over ten years.

The mission of the Trust is to provide sporting opportunities and enjoyment for young people regardless of their background, ability race or gender. All funds raised by the Trust go directly to helping young people, often disabled or underprivileged, pursue and enjoy the pleasures of sport.

Since it was founded, the Trust has given financial help and encouraged hundreds of children across the world, from coaching rugby to poverty stricken children in Calcutta, to sailing holidays for the underprivileged and wheelchair rugby and basketball in the UK.

Helping to raise funds are Trustee Peter Winterbottom and Patrons Jason Leonard, Lawrence Dallaglio and Will Carling. With their help, the Trust hopes to build on the success so far, to give young people more opportunity to participate in and enjoy a variety of sport.

By becoming a member of the RLT 200 club, you could win some fantastic prizes such as signed shirts, rugby memorabilia, tickets to rugby dinners, corporate hospitality and much more!

The Trust aim to make all their fundraising events fun and enjoyable and a pleasure to attend. If you would like to receive information on forthcoming fundraising events or on becoming a RLT member, then please contact the Trust on the details below:
