Good weekend to one and all Another Quins win in the bag, but not so great for England. These things happen and as I like to say you never know what is going to happen in a rugby game, which is why you have to love it.
This week was a bit of a slow one with everything coming together for tournaments and other work with the end of the year drawing closer. For me it was a good week as we had a bit of fun and finished off the week by organising to have at least 2-3 different events happening in December to give the students and professors something to think about over the summer holidays. Yes - summer holidays remember its summer here!
One event will include several local SESI schools in a festival for 13-14 year olds who don't get much chance to interact with me. I therefore wanted to give them a chance to have a go at the game and have some fun. The second event involves teachers from all around the region to come in and learn what rugby is and to help them understand the game and try and get it going in their schools. The final event will be for our Future Athletes and adult rugby programs to have a tournament and see who is the best of the two cities - Itape or TATUI. Vote for Tatui - we are the best!
We may also be holding another event on a much larger scale but I need to wait for the all clear before confirming. But watch this space as I'm sure it will interest all Quins fans if we can do it.
I've decided to give the kids a week's rest from serious learning and trying to play and thought, 'Well its hot, let's try a bit of SWIMMING POOL rugby!' Yes you read it right we are going to try and play touch in the pool. It should be fun. I'm sorry I doubt I will be able to put pictures up but I will fill you in next week as to how it goes. I think it's going to blow everybody's minds. Mine included.
Many Thanks for reading again.
