The Stoop was the venue for a very enjoyable session for local teachers aimed at demystifing the game of Tag Rugby. Over 20 teachers and after schools helpers got chance to play Tag and ask questions regarding the rules of the modified game.
Quins Community Development Officer, Nick Hyde said, " that it is very important that the schools have a PE framework using basic PE skills. Tag is an excellent game which covers all these. The aim of the session was to enhance the understanding of the teachers so that they in turn can pass this on to the school children."
The session hopefully will be a first, and may lead to some teachers actually taking the RFU Tag Rugby Award. The feedback from those who attended has been very positive and can only benefit rugby in the long term.
