Although Wasps defeated Gloucester by 39-3 at Twickenham last Saturday (31st May 2003) to secure their status as Champions, Quins can take satisfaction from the fact that they were the only team to record two wins over Wasps in the league this season.

Scores from Nick Greenstock and Paul Burke helped Quins to record a 27-14 victory over their arch-rivals at the Stoop back on 17th November last year, while two tries from Ugo Monye and one from Matt Powell resulted in Quins coming away with the four points and a 25-21 victory from their visit to Adams Park (10th May 2003). Quins, along with Sale Sharks, were the only teams to win at Wasps in the Premiership this season.

Following the game against Wasps, Quins will then be the first side to play at newly promoted Rotherham in round two, before facing their arch-rivals London Irish (home) and Saracens (away) in rounds three and four respectively.
