This weekend (Friday 18th to Sunday 20th July 2003) my brothers, John and Peter, and I are taking part in the Norfolk Coastal Challenge.
The challenge is to walk, run, wheeze, over 85 kilometres in three days along the Norfolk coastline, whilst trying to keep out of some 30 pubs en route!
On 31st March this year, our father died of heart failure having suffered from Leukaemia since 1999, so we are raising money for the Haematology Trust Fund based at Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Cambridgeshire, where our father was treated. Our father was very appreciative of the work they had done and indeed the great work they continue to do.
The Haematology Trust Fund was set-up to benefit patients who are being treated at Hinchingbrooke Hospital with serious haematogical disorders, in particular blood cancers such as Leukaemia, Mycona and Lymphona.
The fund is used to purchase specialist equipment, specialist nursing hours or more luxury items for the patient
