The semi final for the Richmond and Twickenham Times Cup will take place on 27th March 2004. The day will see 9 teams at Under 7, 8 and 9s divided into three groups of 3 teams. At Under 10 there are 10 teams divided into two groups of five.
Four teams will progress to the finals day to be played on the final match of the season against Bath. In the Under 7, 8 and 9 competition the top placed teams will progress to the final, with the best second placed team. This will be decided by the number of points scored in the groups based on: 4 points for a win; 2 points for a draw and 0 points for a defeat. At the semi final stage a bonus point system will be implemented as a way of separating teams; 1 point for scoring 4 tries and 1 point for loosing by 1 try.
The team with the most points will qualify; if they are equal the side scoring the most tries will qualify. If at this stage the two teams are still equal, the team conceding the fewest tries will qualify.
At Under 10 it is straight forward, the top two sides in each group qualify
