To celebrate Harlequins reaching the Semi Final of the LV= Cup, Etihad has decided to give one lucky fan & 3 mates tickets to the game.
To be in with a chance of winning tickets to watch Quins take on Newcastle Falcons at the Stoop this Friday 11th March, all you have to do is head to
www.etihadcompetition.com/quins and vote for your February Player of the Month.
February has been an unsteady time for Quins fans after the excitement of the winning streak that took place in January. The first game of the month saw the famous Cardiff Blues visit the Stoop. Nick Evans won man of the match for his quick thinking and blistering pace, scoring the first try for Quins and kicking 13 points in total, securing Quins a place in the LV= Cup Semi Final. Quins then took a trip down to Devon to play Exeter at Sandy Park in round 14 of the Aviva Premiership. Harlequins started the day confident with their winning streak of nine matches in all competitions to improve upon. However, too many unforced errors permeated their game on a day when their opponents gave no ground.
Quins managed to get back on that winning form for their next big game against Sale at the Stoop, with Danny Care back in at scrum half after being released from international duty for the weekend and Captain Chris Robshaw, taking place at number 8 in Nick Easter and Tom Guest's absence. Robshaw and Clegg were instrumental in this win, setting up tactical game play and keeping pressure on Sales defence. Two tries from Joe Gray and Mike Brown, and 11 points from the boot of Man of the Match Rory Clegg, saw Quins get back to winning ways with a 21-6 victory over Sale Sharks. Clegg and Brown also played well in the last game of the month against London Irish, with Clegg landing all 3 penalities and Brown making a great break through the Irish defense, and setting up Pete Browne, for a try unfortunately it was to no avail and Quins walked away from their second premiership defeat in 2 weeks.
Voting closes at 12 Noon on Thursday, and Etihad will notify a winner before 5pm, so make sure you complete your contact details so we can get in touch.
