Job Title: Marketing Assistant
Responsible to: Marketing Manager
The suitable candidate will be responsible for assisting in all areas of Harlequins' marketing planning and strategies, from the development of different elements through to their execution. This will include anything from planning, through market research to organising the distribution of literature, or helping to put on an event.
Skills and interests:
• strong consumer and product awareness
• good organisational and planning skills
• excellent written and verbal communication
• the ability to work on multiple projects at one time
• the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
• good attention to detail and accuracy
• strong IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, basic Photoshop etc)
• good knowledge of marketing techniques
• self-motivation
• the ability to be a team player
Duties
• To develop partnerships with like-minded brands
• To improve and oversee Social Media Channels
• To support the annual Big Game event
• Ensuring consistency of marketing materials
• To support the delivery of the organisational communications planner
• General marketing administration
• To maintain and develop relationships with suppliers
• To support general marketing campaigns across the organisation
Entry
Although there are no specific qualifications, most entrants are expected to have a degree, Higher National Diploma or another higher education qualification. The role is open to all graduates, but degrees in marketing, business, economics, mathematics and computing would be an advantage.
This is an excellent opportunity to build a significant portfolio across a number of fields, as well as working alongside the Community, Sales, Ticketing, PR and Merchandise departments within one of the world's best known rugby clubs. Please note that this role will involve working at weekends and some unsocial hours.
