Harlequins U15's were involved in the England Academy run 12-a-side tournament at Harrow School on Sunday 1st May. The tournament which is used to have a look at the emerging talent across the country involved teams from Bristol, Bath, Gloucester, Exeter, Saracens, London Irish, Wasps and Harlequins.
All of the teams played six 15 minute matches over the course of a 3 hour period which tested the players both mentally and physically.
Harlequins started off with a 20 points to 5 win against Bath and followed that with a 5 all draw against a strong Wasps side. Bristol were then despatched 10 v 0 before the squad fell to their only loss of the day with a 10 nil loss to London Irish in a game that could have gone either way. A positive response was required to that defeat and was duly delivered as the squad finished off the day with comprehensive 30v5 and 20v0 wins against Saracens and Gloucester respectively.
Full Harlequins results, team list and try scorers are below. Special thanks must go to Systech International for their sponsorship of the team which was hugely appreciated and saw some proud U15's wearing the famous quarters for the 1st time and also to Quinssa for their ongoing support of the Harlequins Academy
