Joe Marler, Ugo Monye, Mike Brown and Chris Robshaw, who captained the Saxons, all started on Saturday, with George Robson coming on off the bench. First half tries from Monye and Brown underlined impressive performances, as they helped the Saxons record a 45-17 win over Italy A.

This Sunday, Harlequins face Cardiff Blues at The Stoop and should they notch up their ninth consecutive win, it will secure a home semi final in the LV= Cup to go with a home quarter final in Europe.
