March was a month of mixed fortune for Harlequins, with two consecutive defeats by Newcastle, resulting in a slump to 7th in the premiership and being knocked out of the LV= Cup, Quins looked to have lost all hope of gaining any silverware this season. The last game of the month, however, saw a very different Harlequins side run out onto the pitch. With a 7 try victory over their West Country rivals Gloucester, the Mighty Quins seem once again at their strongest and their ever dedicated supporters were right behind them.
The team have had a hard month but some players' form has been consistently strong throughout. Clegg has played some great games in Nick Evans' absence, landing some difficult conversions and setting up and executing strategic game play. Mike Brown, Aviva Premiership Man of the Match for Quins v Gloucester, has also been instrumental in much of the Quins success this season, commanding the team from the back, demonstrating great defensive tackles and breaking into bursting speed to smash through gaps in the opposition's defense. Joe Marler, the young prop, has grown into his role as a regular first team starter, characterized in recent games with several marauding line breaks, and setting up Monye for one of his hattrick tries against Gloucester. Joe Gray, has also grown into his vital role as regular starting hooker, with his accurate throwing regularly putting Quins in commanding positions from the lineout.
