Mike Brown, another product of the Quins academy system, made his First XV debut during the 2005/06 season. Brown is a natural talent and is well known for his fire and passion for the game on the pitch. He demonstrates all the good qualities that a strong full back should, commanding the team, demonstrating great defensive tackles and bursting speed to break through gaps in the defence. Brown has the makings and the ability to grow into a world class fifteen, he was called up to the England Saxons squad earlier this year to play against Italy A and Ireland A, scoring a try against Italy A. March saw Mike Brown land tries for Quins in both fixtures against the Newcastle Falcons, unfortunately this was to no avail as we walked away defeated in round 15 of the Aviva premiership and the LV= Cup semi-finals. The chance of winning any silverware this season was looking bleak until a 7 try victory saw Quins smash their West Country rivals; Gloucester with Mike Brown walking away with a well deserved Aviva Premiership Man of the Match.
