Cardiff Blues stand between Harlequins and a home LV= Cup semi-final - here are four Blues players Quins will need to watch.
Casey Laulala
Casey Laulala made his debut for New Zealand against Wales in Cardiff in November 2004 and went on to play for the All Blacks against Ireland in 2006.
Described by many as one of the hardest players to contain in broken field play in the New Zealand game, Casey is the son of an airline pilot for Polynesian Airlines, and was schooled at Wesley College - the same south Auckland institution that gifted the world game former Cardiff Blue and international rugby superstar, Jonah Lomu.
He joined Cardiff Blues in November 2009.
Deiniol Jones
Originally from Cardigan where he attended Ysgol Gyfun Llandysul, Deiniol Jones went on to study Chemistry at Bath University in 1997 where he caught the eye of the scouts of Bath RFC.
After spending three years playing for Bath, in 2000 Deiniol signed for Ebbw Vale on loan before joining Bridgend, The Celtic Warriors and the Cardiff Blues in 2004.
Deiniol gained international honours representing Wales at Under 18, 19 and 21 age grades before making his debut for the senior Wales team against Samoa in November 2000.
One of the most consistent players for the Blues, Jones became the first player to play 100 games for the region and only the third to reach 50 Heineken Cup games when Cardiff Blues faced Castres in October.
Ceri Sweeney
Capped at U18, U19 and U21 levels, Ceri Sweeney toured Canada with the Wales Development squad in 2000 and made his Wales A debut as a replacement against England in 2002.
A product of the Pontypridd Youth Team, Ceri Sweeney made his debut for Wales against England in the Six Nations Championship in 2003, and played in three Rugby World Cup games later that year.
In 1998, Sweeney joined Pontypridd RFC and with the introduction of regional rugby in Wales, Sweeney joined the Celtic Warriors in 2003 and then signed for the Newport Gwent Dragons the following season.
In the summer of 2008, after 4 seasons with the Newport Gwent Dragons, Sweeney signed for the Cardiff Blues.
Gareth Williams
Gareth Williams signed for Cardiff Blues in the summer of 2003 having previously played for UWIC and Pontypridd and also the Sydney club, Gordon.
While attending Brynteg School in Bridgend he captained Wales under-18 team that included former Blues players Rhys Williams and Gary Powell
In 1998 he captained Wales Youth and quickly progressed to a full season with Wales under-21 in 1999. His progression to full international honours continued with two appearances for Wales A in 2001-02 and then his full cap in the 2003 Six Nations' fixture in Italy.
