Quins may have seen their first defeat in this season's Heineken Cup, but Scarlet's victory over Stade Francais ensured Quins' first Quarter Final spot in 11 years, along with finishing top of pool 4.
Although unhappy with the result against Ulster, Dean is delighted with a quarter final place:
"The Heineken Cup is the best club competition in the world, pitching the best teams together; there are no easy games. Scarlets did us a huge favour on Sunday, but I doubt very much that they will be as generous to us on Saturday.
"We had tremendous support at Ravenhill, and I'd like to thank everyone who travelled over for the game and braved the horrendous conditions."
Scarlets may have helped take the pressure off Quins securing a quarter final place, but they will be determined to continue their good run of form against their English rivals this Saturday, when they head to the Stoop.
The last time the two teams met was back in October when an impressive start from Scarlets saw Quins on the wrong end of a 19-3 deficit going into half time. A rousing half time team talk obviously did the trick because Quins came back fighting, putting in one of the most impressive Heineken Cup comebacks and claiming victory in the dying seconds of the game, 22-29.
A win at the Stoop for Quins in their final group game this weekend will give them a good chance of a home tie, depending on results.
Harlequins V Scarlets, Saturday 24th January, kick off 1.35pm. The Twickenham Stoop.
