Academy professional second years Seb Stegmann and Tom Sargeant, and first years Joe Marler and Chris York, are all called up to the England Under 20 squad, who are attempting to emulate last season's Grand Slam winners and kick-off their RBS Under 20 Six Nations games against Italy at Worcester on February 6.

England are also building up to the IRB Junior World Championship in Japan this summer, where they face the host nation, Scotland and Samoa in the pool stages.

England Under 20 coach Mark Mapletoft said: "I'm very excited about the group we've got and the work that's already taken place this season.

"We've had some good opportunities to get to work with the players in conjunction with their clubs as well as doing team-building work in camps at Lympstone and in Portugal earlier this season.

"Now we'll be doing some fine-tuning at the end of the month for a week at Bisham Abbey before going up to Worcester at the start of our Test week before playing Italy."

Three Harlequins Academy Players in England U16 Development Squad:

The England Under 16 selectors have named a development squad of 40 players to train at the second Divisional Festival at Broadstreet RFC next week (January 23-25). Harlequins Academy have three players in the development squad, Congratulations go to;

It is likely that those players in the 40 strong squad will make up the bulk of the England U16 and England U16 A squads for their forthcoming international seasons"
