Congratulations to Nick Evans, who has been voted the Etihad Player of the Month for December.
The New Zealand International was at his very best throughout the month and produced a number of magical moments that will live long in the memories of all Quins supporters.
After kicking a penalty and a conversion in the historic victory over Stade Francais in Paris, Evans made it back-to-back wins over the French club the following week at the Stoop in dramatic fashion. The 28 year-old expertly guided play deep into the Stade 22 during the last play of the game, which went through 29 phases, before converting the match winning drop goal with the last kick of the match, a result that put Quins on the verge of reaching the Heineken Cup Quarter Finals.
There were further heroics from Evans in the Big Game at Twickenham against Leicester Tigers in front of a record Guinness Premiership crowd of 50,000. The fly-half finished with a personal tally of 16 points, with his touchline conversion of Ugo Monye's try in the dying seconds giving Quins a share of the points in a 26-all draw.
