David Lyons

A consistently strong performer at No 8 since his summer arrival, Australian capped Lyons has powerful credentials and a prodigious work rate. The 28-year-old's peeling off the back of the scrum and link-up with his half-backs has been one of his side's most dynamic features this season.

Jon Davies
Position: Centre, Date of Birth: 05/04/1988, Height: 186cm/6'1", Weight: 103cm/16st 3lb
The Welsh youngster has had an extended run in the team this season, and has developed a potent understanding with All Black centre partner Regan King. A powerful ball carrier with bags of confidence, no-nonsense Davies is a tip for Wales' summer tour.

Martin Roberts
Position: Scrum-Half, Date of Birth: 06/06/1986, Height: 175cm/5'9", Weight: 77kg/12st 1lb
Recruited from near neighbours the Ospreys in the summer, the young scrum-half has proved a revelation, gaining his first Wales cap in the autumn. A bubbly "in-yer-face" style unsettles opponents and gives his pack and half-back partners Stephen Jones and Rhys Priestland freedom to kick with great precision.

Matthew Rees
Position: Hooker, Date of Birth: 09/12/1980, Height: 188cm/6'2", Weight: 98kg/15st 6lb
Rees arrived at Stradey Park in 2004, made his Test debut for Wales the following summer, and was a Grand Slam winner last year. He's played more than 100 games for the Scarlets, and remains an accomplished scrummager. Rees is always eager to impress, in order to clock up more international call-ups.
