Last Saturday's draw against London Irish left a feeling of mixed emotions, but as we were behind before the last kick of the game I think, on reflection, it was two points gained rather than two points lost. It ensured an unbeaten run of four Guinness Premiership matches and we will obviously want to sustain that run further as we strive to move up the table over the course of the rest of the season.

However, before our return to the Premiership action, we turn our attention to Sunday and to the revamped LV= Cup, where we welcome Llanelli Scarlets to the Stoop. Clearly both sides will be without their International contingent, however, our two matches against them in the Heineken Cup last season showed what an attractive brand of rugby they play and, with that in mind, I am sure we will be in for both a challenging and entertaining game. We have managed to come out on top on both occasions last season and we will be looking for a similar outcome to launch our campaign in this competition on Sunday.

The sell-out last week at the Stoop was fantastic to witness for all of the playing group and the atmosphere it engendered, particularly as the game reached its gripping climax. I am sure you will all get behind the team again on Sunday - it is much appreciated.
