Date of Birth: 19.11.1981

Leading from the front - although he plays in the back row - is Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe. Juan's natural passion and leadership qualities, both on and off the field, are proving that he was an ideal choice as captain. Able to play across the back row, Juan combines raw power with athleticism, an excellent rugby brain and fast hands. He has scored five tries already this season. Although Juan is now a European citizen, having married Annie - an Argentinean holding an Italian passport - he is fiercely proud to be a member of Los Pumas, who reached the 2007 World Cup semi-finals, defeating the French on their home soil.

Hooker Neil is a former England Under-21 cap who is one of four players vying for the Sharks' starting spot, (Sebastien Bruno, Marc Jones and Dave Ward are the others). Neil, who joined the club from Rotherham Titans, played some games for The Jets, the club's 'A' League side, at flanker and has started several games in the Sharks' number seven shirt this season. An abrasive centre with tremendous tackling power, Lee can also kick long distances, when required, hence his nickname of 'Bomber'. Capped by Wales at Under-21 level, and is still hopeful of catching Warren Gatland's eye.
Sean Cox
Position: Lock
Height: 6'5"
Weight: 17st 2lb
Date of Birth: 16.01.85
Second row man Sean is now back in action after suffering a serious knee injury in October. An effective organiser at lineout time, he's highly regarded by both fans and playing colleagues. Sean has an Engineering degree, and is currently adding 'qualified rugby coach' to his list of personal qualifications.
