With a team full of World Class players, Quins Head Coach,John Kingston, picks out his three to watch...
Carlos Spencer:
A world class player, his exploits with the All Blacks and Auckland Blues are well known.
The move from Northampton was an interesting decision. He had some obviously good days with the Saints, but I don't think the Guinness Premiership has consistently seen the best of his ability. Will it be the catalyst for propelling his career forward? It will definitely be interesting to see if this move from this season's promoted club will pay off!
Carlos is a wonderful distributor of the ball, with a great array of tricks. His defensive and offensive kicking are an attractive quality in him. Whenever he has the ball in hand he is dangerous, always taking the ball to the game line. He has amazing feet, blistering acceleration , the abilty to bring others easily into the game, and a lust for breaking the opposition's defence.
It will be an interesting match up for the crowd with Nick Evans and Carlos Spencer facing each other in the number 10 shirt. Both former Auckland Blues and New Zealand Internationals, I am sure the two will both be putting on a real show on Saturday.
James Simpson-Daniel:
A player with blistering pace, he has tremendous feet and a wonderful step; he is extremely dangerous in broken field.
James is a player who everybody respects as a talented winger, and although he has been blighted by injury in his career, he is a real asset to Gloucester and if he can keep injury free, I am sure England will be keeping a very close eye on him.
Andy Hazell:
Andy is another quality player who has been injured for part of the season. The experienced, open side flanker brings a competitiveness and physicality to the break down. When he is on the pitch, he always ensures the opposition has a tough time recycling the ball. In order to free our game up on Saturday, we will have to deal with him in the tackle area.
It will be a great battle between our own number 7 and Captain, Will Skinner, and Andy Hazell
