Congratulations to Chris Robshaw who has been voted the first Etihad Player of the Month in 2009.
The 22 year-old back row was in the thick of the action throughout the opening games of 2009. Despite some mixed results for Quins, Robshaw performed superbly, adding tries to his solid tackling and great link-up play.
Having made his debut for Harlequins in the 2007/08 Premiership season, Robshaw has established himself as an ever-present force in the Quins back row, continuing to find himself in try scoring positions and on the score sheet more regularly.
In January, Robshaw was at the heart of Quins Heineken Cup victory over Scarlets, adding a try to his tough tackling and solid ball carrying. His score in the bonus point victory at The Stoop ensured Quins built on their superb double victory over Stade Francais, and secured a home quarter final tie against Leinster on April 12th.
Having already secured a place in the Saxons squad, Robshaw will be looking for a call up to the full England squad in the near future, and if his January form continues this must be close on the horizon.
