October has been a month of mixed fortunes for Quins. They finally kick started their season with flashes of brilliance and a never say die attitude when Bath were visitors to The Stoop at the beginning of October. A last minute try by Nick Easter gave Quins their first league win of the season. This game was Gary Botha's last in a Quins jersey, as he returns to South Africa with his family.

form winger Ugo Monye scored twice for Quins at The Stoop against European big guns Toulouse, but the experience of the French side shown through in the end, leaving Quins with two defeats from two in their pool.

Tries from Danny Care and Mike Brown helped Quins to their first away win in the Premiership this season, and at the same time ended Worcester's unbeaten home record. Some fine place kicking in difficult conditions by second half substitute Rory Clegg , ensured Quins hung on for a 22 - 26 win at Sixways.
