This weekend saw two Harlequins players play for Esher away at Manchester in their first National Division one game of the season.
Dan Frazier made his full debut for Esher alongside Seb Jewell, who has been a key player in the previous seasons for the National one team.
Esher took the game by the scruff of the neck and really showed Manchester the difference a summer can make, after both were relegated from the old National one division last season and the North West team failing to make critical signings.
By half time Esher led 71-0 and didn't even take a breath and slow their momentum down. Eventually the final score was 148-0 to Esher, with Jewell scoring 2 tries and Frazier getting 1 on his debut.
Esher broke a whole mound of records on Saturday:
• The individual record for most points in a game. 3 tries and 18 conversions (51 points)
• They equalled the previous world record of 22 tries in a game, matching Australia who scored 22 tries against Namibia in the 2003 world cup.
• Esher smashed the National league record of the biggest winning margin and most points in a game, previously held by Penzance against the Metropolitan Police (136 - 0) in April 2000.
