The project, starting in September 2009, was an idea by Dan Moss & Paddy Blair, initially conceived as a hitch hiking film and book of their travels in response to the recession...
Their idea was that if you wanted to travel and stay in various places for free, it could easily be achieved by getting your visas and jabs, packing a bag and just setting off.
The more Dan and Paddy progressed with the project, the more they believed that a charity should be involved. The duo got in touch with Harlequins' official charity; Hope HIV and asked to become the patrons for them on the project. Their plans quickly began to change and whilst retaining the initial spirit of the project, they started to introduce the idea of a comparative study documenting how AIDS affects people around the world based on race, social status and geographical location. The documentary suggests how it is possible to get from place to place by hitch hiking, using various internet websites and the kindness of strangers. Dan and Paddy wish to show varying angles of opinions on the AIDS problem and will be travelling for 18 months around Europe, Africa and Asia. To follow their project and donate to Hope HIV, please visit

To help Dan and Paddy with updating their website on their travels, Harlequins' new official mobile handset suppliers Samsung Mobile kindly donated a Samsung i8910 HD phone which was presented to them at half-time during the Harlequins Vs Leicester Tigers game on Saturday 12th September.
The presentation was made by Samsung Mobile Vice-President Mark Mitchinson and Harlequins CEO Mark Evans.
Both Samsung Mobile and Harlequins would like to wish Dan and Paddy luck on their trip!
