In addition to receiving continued support from the players and sponsors, NEC Harlequins have been overwhelmed by the loyalty and commitment shown by their supporters, as over 2,500 Season Ticket applications have been received to date; half of the final total number for the 2004/05 campaign.
Given that the club will be playing in National Division One next season, Quins have revised the prices of their Season Ticket packages. However, around 80% of those people who have already purchased their seat have refused to take a refund and asked that this money goes towards club funds for the 2005/06 season.
This has given everyone at Quins much confidence and great heart ahead of the challenge that awaits them next season. As recognition of this fantastic gesture and initiative, the club will be erecting a 'Loyalty Wall' within the new West stand at the Stoop that will include all those people's names who have contributed in this manner.
"Clearly we were concerned about the impact relegation would have on our Season Ticket campaign, but the response we have received from our supporters has been truly magnificent," said Tony Copsey, NEC Harlequins Managing Director.
"It shows that Quins now have an extremely loyal and significant band of supporters, who are prepared to stand by us through the good times and the bad."
Anyone wishing to renew their Season Ticket or to purchase one for the 2005/06 season needs to fill in an application form on the Season Ticket brochure. To be sent a brochure in the post or if you have any queries, then call the Quins ticket office on
