Having spent the last month trekking up and down the country, we return to action at the Twickenham Stoop on Sunday (20th November) when we face the Cornish Pirates in National Division One, kick-off 3.00pm. It will be a top of the table clash, with ourselves unbeaten after nine matches and the visitors having suffered just one league defeat to date, meaning the two sides occupy first and second place in the table respectively.
Pre-match sales indicate we can expect our biggest ever crowd for a game at the Stoop, and there is a good chance we could set the record attendance for a National Division One fixture as well. Such has been the demand for tickets that we have opted to open the South Stand for the first time this season.
There are still tickets available for this match, which can be purchased from the ticket office on
020 8410 6000 or online by clicking
here. Alternatively, tickets can also be purchased at the ground on the day, either from the ticket office (located in the south-east corner of the stadium by Gate 3) or from the turnstiles, which will both open at 12.00pm.
From Sunday's game onwards, please note that supporters will
NOT be permitted to smoke in the stands during the match. Signage has been introduced around the stadium to make people aware of this rule and the stewards will also be briefed to monitor this.
This weekend also sees the return of the Mighty Quins village, which will be located in the south-west corner of the ground behind the control room. The Village is an area for play; a little light relief for children who may find it hard to sit still in their seats for the whole game. Please can all parents be aware that the Mighty Quins Village is not a crèche and they should stay with their children whilst they are playing in there.
In addition to the public bars in the East Stand, a bar will be open to all in the north-west corner of the ground by the merchandise shop in the Lexus Stand. Furthermore, the Major Toms will once again be out in force around the stadium, with beer strapped to their backs!
As always, there will be plenty of food options within the stadium. All four corners of the ground will have fried chicken / burger vans, while a carvery van will be in operation in the north-east corner. Thai food will be on offer in the south-east corner, while for those of you with a sweet tooth, a doughnut and 'pick n mix' van will be located in the south-west corner. Pies will be available in the Members Bar, while the stage area in the Kings Bar, East Stand, will be serving pizza, hot dogs, pies and soup.
Also in the Kings Bar, The Slaves will be providing the post-match entertainment with two live sets, the first starting at 5.15pm.
Once again it promises another cracking days entertainment at the Stoop and with your support there's a great chance of extending that unbeaten run in the league to ten straight matches.
