Harlequin Ladies Football Club and Thamesians RFC will be holding a joint Open Day for young rugby players this Saturday (3rd September 2005) from 10.00am to 1.00pm. The event will take place at Kneller Gardens, Meadway, Twickenham.

Members of Harlequin Ladies squad will be on hand to coach girls of all abilities from ages seven to 17, either as an introduction to the game or to help established players improve on their skills.

This should be a great family day out and a chance for all those young girls who've wanted to give rugby a go, the chance to try it out without the pressure of joining a club. A BBQ and refreshments will be available during the day.

Mel Antao, Harlequin Ladies Club Captain welcomed the event: "This is a great opportunity for the Ladies Club to work with local rugby clubs, in particular Thamesians RFC, to promote girls rugby in the area."
