Home matches seem to have been something of a rarity so far this season ' but like a good bus service, when you have been waiting for ages four come along together! Boxing Day (Monday 26th December) sees the team returning to the Twickenham Stoop for the National Division One match against our neighbours London Welsh, kick-off 3.00pm.
This will be the first of four home matches being played in consecutive weeks, the other three being:
Vs Pertemps Bees, National Division One - Monday 2nd January, kick-off 3.00pm
Vs Plymouth Albion, Powergen National Trophy Quarterfinal ' Saturday 7th January, kick-off 3.00pm
Vs Otley, National Division One ' Saturday 14th January, kick-off 3.00pm
Pre-match sales for the London Welsh match indicate we will be having another bumper crowd. There are still plenty of tickets available for this fixture, which can be purchased from the ticket office on 020 8410 6000 or online by clicking here.
Alternatively, there will be plenty of tickets to be purchased on the day either from the ticket office (located in the south-east corner of the stadium by Gate 3) or on the turnstiles, which both open at 12.00pm. We are expecting a large walk up, so would recommend you arrive early.
The Mighty Quins Village is now fully up and running in the south-west corner of the ground, with face painting and bouncy castles.
As always, there will be plenty of places to eat and drink around the stadium with plenty of variety. The major points to note are that the food counter inside the East Stand bar will be positioned at the players lounge end, where seating and tables are available; also, the outside unit that supplies tuna and pasta bakes, chilli con carne, baked potatoes, chicken curry, salads and spring rolls, will be positioned in the north-east corner.
However, to help you find out where best to eat, we are introducing new Information Points that will be positioned next to all three gates as you enter the stadium. These will have a map of the stadium outlining, amongst other things, exactly where all the food outlets, bars, toilets and baby changing facilities are located. Furthermore, under match information you will find what type of food is available where.
Post match, I am sure you will all be pleased to hear that the Melody Fakers will be playing on the stage in the East Stand bar.
Have a Merry Christmas and I look forward to seeing you on Boxing Day.
During week commencing 22nd April Harlequins will launch an innovative, new Membership Scheme which will replace the existing Season Ticket Holder Programme. Further details of the scheme will be announced in due course.
