A cold and windy Sunday (26th November) in Suffolk saw the Harlequin Ladies defeated in one of their most challenging games of the season so far. Whether it was the long journey or the new combination of players, Harlequins were unable to match the form they've shown in recent weeks.
Sudbury certainly came out 'guns-a-blazing', forcing the MKI-sponsored Quins onto the back-foot from the outset. Despite the continued effort by their forwards, Harlequins were unable to convert success in the lineouts to points on the scoreboard. Nor was the ferocious tackling by flanker Vickie Kottler enough to hold off Sudbury's attack.
