On 17th and 18th July, Nick Hyde and Sharon Bamber from the Quins office will be taking part in an event called the Trailwalker and hope that you will sponsor them.
The event was founded over 20 years ago as a training exercise for the Gurkhas and has since been developed by them into a team challenge to raise funds for the Gurkha Welfare Trust and Oxfam.
The challenge is to walk 100 kilometres (62.5 miles) of the South Downs Way between Petersfield and Brighton in under 30 hours, though their target is between 20 and 24 hours. This means that Nick and Sharon will be walking the equivalent of two and a half marathons non-stop - including through the night - and climbing enough hills to equate to the height of Ben Nevis.
They are hoping to raise at least £1,000 and would be really grateful if you could help them achieve this target.
It's really easy to sponsor them; just click
here and it will take you straight to their team website, where you can donate as much as you like!
Alternatively, you could send a cheque to the Stoop (marked for the attention of Nick Hyde), made payable to 'Trailwalker (Oxfam).'
Thanking you in advance for your generous support.
