NEC Harlequins will start the defence of their Zurich A League title away to Saracens on Monday 6th September 2004. A week later (Monday 13th September) and we will be at home to Gloucester at the Stoop, which will be followed by the visit of Bath a fortnight later (Monday 27th September). Quins will also face London Wasps and London Irish in the southern conference.
Under the leadership of Luke Sherriff, Quins were comprehensive winners of the inaugural Zurich A League last season, defeating Northampton Saints 72-28 over the two legs in the final. Indeed, Quins only lost two of their ten league fixtures last season in a tournament that saw them record resounding victories over Saracens (92-10), Wasps (64-22) and Gloucester (62-24).
