NEC Harlequins make eight changes to the team that started in last Saturday's (8th May) game against Northampton Saints for this weekends (Saturday 15th May) match versus Leicester Tigers in the Zurich Wildcard semi-final at Welford Road, kick-off 7.15pm.
In the back division, Will Greenwood returns to partner Mel Deane in the centre, having recovered from a shoulder injury. He replaces Chris Bell. Paul Burke has recovered from a groin injury that forced him to miss out last week and returns at fly half in place of Andy Dunne. Scott Bemand takes over from Simon Keogh at scrum half.
In the pack, Mike Worsley, Tani Fuga and Jason Leonard replace Ceri Jones, James Hayter and Jon Dawson respectively. Worsley is fit to return after suffering a broken nose, while Fuga is back from suspension. The other changes in the pack see Simon Miall come in for Karl Rudzki in the second row and Tony Diprose replace Kai Hortsmann at number eight.
"There was some speculation that we would rest a number of players this Saturday ahead of the Parker Pen Challenge Cup Final," said Mark Evans, NEC Harlequins Chief Executive. "Had we done so, it would have gone against everything this squad and the club are about. The Zurich Wildcard offers another opportunity of qualifying for the Heineken Cup next season and so is a very important competition to us."
"Leicester are certainly the form team in England at the moment and having had two very hard and closely fought contests against them back in March, we know that we will face a very tough and physical challenge this Saturday. They have very loyal and passionate supporters that makes Welford Road one of the most difficult grounds to visit. However, it is a challenge we are very much looking forward to and a game we believe we can win."
