Middlesex County Rugby Football Union are delighted to announce that the William Webb Ellis Trophy will be visiting the Stoop Memorial Ground during the Middlesex National Club Sevens Finals on <strong>Sunday (9th May)</strong>.
Teams that have qualified for the Cup competition, the winners of which will take a place in the Charity Sevens at Twickenham in August, include Loughborough Students, Oxford University, Blackheath, London Scottish, Nottingham RFC and Princess of Wales Royal Regiment. Local clubs taking part in the Bowl and Vase competitions include Effingham and Leatherhead, Hammersmith and Fulham, and Sudbury and London Springboks.
The finals day, in association with
Greene King IPA, will provide a first class spectacle of sevens rugby. The day will comprise of a Main Cup (knockout and finals) competition and the semi-finals and finals of the Bowl, Plate and Vase. There will be entertainment for all the family; many activities for children, international player visits, a community rugby sevens tournament, and all day bars and barbecues.
