Quins response to ticket deals for the Parker Pen Challenge Cup Final
21 May 2004 13:42pm
We would like to let our supporters know that we are fully aware of the ERC ticket offers that have materialised over the last couple of days aimed at promoting tomorrow's (22nd May) Parker Pen Challenge Cup Final against Montferrand at the Madejski Stadium, Reading, kick-off 12.00pm.
NEC Harlequins would like to apologies to all our supporters (around 10,000 of you) who have purchased tickets for the game ahead of these offers, and make it clear how disappointed we have been with ERC for taking this course of action.
As soon as we became aware that ERC had set-up the two-for-one ticket deal with Ticketmaster on Wednesday (19th May), we requested that this be rescinded immediately and we are pleased to say that this was agreed to.
In addition to the above, it has come to our attention that some tickets are being given away through the competition ERC have run on their official website and that some supporters have 'won' tickets for the game tomorrow, despite already purchasing their seats weeks ago when they first went on sale. Again, we would like to apologies to all Quins supporters.
We are pleased to state that ERC have acted immediately to our requests to withdraw these offers and can ensure our supporters that only a limited number of tickets have been made available.
