This Sunday NEC Harlequins face Brive in the second leg of the Quarter Finals of the Parker Pen Challenge Cup, taking with them a 33 point advantage from the first leg at the Stoop last weekend.
While a 33 point advantage should be sufficient to see NEC Harlequins through to the Semi Finals against either Narbonne or Connacht, in the previous round Saracens took a similar advantage to Glasgow and nearly blew it, and at The Stoop last Saturday we saw plenty from a talented Brive side to suggest that they will cause Quins problems at The Parc des Municipal Sports.
NEC Harlequins will make some changes to the team for this Sunday's game. Ugo Monye will miss this game and England 7's tournaments in Wellington and Los Angles due to a recurrent ankle injury and he will be replaced by Matt Moore. In the forwards Mike Worsley starts ahead of Ceri Jones, Laurent Gomez starts at tight head and Tony Diprose replaces Andre Vos. Will Greenwood is fit and available for selection but was not considered in view of his wife having the stitches removed following the surgery she underwent in June.
Of Quins other injuries Josh Taumalolo expects to take part in the second XV game against Saracens on Monday evening and Simon Miall should be back in action sometime during February.
During week commencing 22nd April Harlequins will launch an innovative, new Membership Scheme which will replace the existing Season Ticket Holder Programme. Further details of the scheme will be announced in due course.
