NEC Harlequins are delighted to announce that they have sold out of Season Tickets for the forthcoming season, with the club reaching their revised cap of 5,000 five weeks before the new Zurich Premiership campaign gets underway.
With over 4,200 Season Tickets sold in less than two months back in mid-June, Quins elected to cap their Season Ticket sales for the 2004/05 season at 5,000; increasing their original target by 500. It means that Quins have sold 1,000 more Season Tickets than last season and for the fourth year in a row seen a significant increase in sales.
The construction of a new 2,300 seater covered North stand is the primary reason why Quins have been able to accommodate more Season Ticket holders this summer. The new North stand will be opened when Quins entertain Northampton Saints in the Zurich Premiership on Saturday 11th September, kick-off 3.00pm.
"This is fantastic news for the club," said NEC Harlequins Managing Director Tony Copsey. "To sell out of Season Tickets over a month before the season begins is a tremendous achievement. However, despite the stadium redevelopment work over the summer it is still frustrating having to cap sales, just as we did last season."
Today's news is set to put a lot of pressure on matchday ticket sales and the club would urge all those interested in attending games at the Stoop to buy their tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.
