Thank you to all our supporters who have nominated charities. We have received many wonderful letters and information about charities you are connected to. We will be replying to everyone that has written.
We will contact everyone who has been successful in gaining a Matchday Collection this season and will publish a list of chosen charities shortly.
The last match collection on 11th September (Northampton Saints fixture) was for Cancer Research UK, nominated by Loraine and Andy Beckinsale. We are absolutely delighted that this collection has broken all previous records for matchdays and raised a massive
£1,515.
Loraine and Andy's daughter Esmee is recovering well from her surgery and they wanted to thank all Quins supporters who gave so generously to help Esmee and other children and adults like her. They have posted a message on the Northampton website and asked us to pass on this message.
"Esmee's operation went very, very well and she is at home and doing really great. The surgeons were delighted with how smoothly it all went and they were able to report back that no other traces of Cancer could be seen or found and that they are expecting a full recovery for Esmee."
"On 10th September, she went into Theatre at 8.30am and came back onto the ward at 5.30pm - it was the longest day of our lives and we are so relieved that it is all over now." (*NB - The collection was held the day after this operation took place).
"Esmee has to have two more Chemo sessions. After this and providing all is going well, she will have her Central Line removed and then that, fingers crossed, should be it. We will have follow up appointments to ensure that she is still clear from her illness and then when she is five years-old, she will have another major operation to reconstruct her bladder."
"We are so amazed by the supporters response and generosity to our collection day at Quins, and we are thrilled that we broke a record with gaining the most to date!"
"We know that we had a great bunch of very pushy collectors who worked very hard - we think that this made a difference, as they certainly were not shy! We just want to be able to thank all of the supporters and pass on our heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated. We also want to pass on our thanks to the Northampton supporters."
This weekend's collection is to raise funds for the
British Paralympic Association. Collectors are from Quinssa, Quins staff, JC Event staff and BPA trekkers. Please continue to give generously.
