On Saturday 21st Jan NEC Harlequins U21's travelled to Yardley & District Rugby Club to face Moseley Development Squad. This game was played in the most atrocious conditions with the playing surface covered with water which soon cut up to became a mud bath. Although outweighed in the scrum the Quins forwards battled well and managed to win their fair share of the ball. However it was nearly impossible to use the ball due to conditions under foot. With the back line four of Quins England U21 squad members it was frustrating that players of this quality could not be released with some fast ball. A 7-5 lead at half time to Quins thanks to a Jarvis conversion after each side had managed a try. Quins were guility of trying to play to much Rugby in the first half and needed to show more patience. Quins took more control in the second half and stretched their lead to 12-5 early in the half. Replacement Steve Wood finished off the scoring with a try soon after joining the fray. Making the final score 17-5
