Sportingclass are delighted to announce that NEC Harlequins will once again be playing Super 12 side the Natal Sharks, from South Africa, at the Stoop this season. The Safe Solutions Challenge match will be played on Thursday 10th February 2005, kick-off 7.45pm.
The Sharks have won all three previous encounters between the two sides, since the inaugural match took place in February 2002. Quins just missed out on recording their first victory over the Sharks back in January, as an injury time penalty from former Scotland international Gregor Townsend gave the South African side a win by 29-27.
"We are delighted that the match against the Sharks has become a regular event in the fixture list," said Mark Evans, NEC Harlequins Chief Executive. "The standard of the rugby and the excitement of the matches have improved year after year, and I see no reason why this seasons game will be any different."
"We will be going all out to claim our first victory over the Sharks and I'm sure supporters of both sides will witness another great battle between the two teams."
