NEC Harlequins are organising a sponsored walk to raise money for our nominated charity, the British Paralympic Association. The money raised will go towards helping to get the team to Athens in September for the Paralympic Games.
The walk will involve travelling to Wales on the evening of Friday 25th June and returning two days later on Sunday 27th June. Tented accommodation has been arranged at Brynich Caravan Park for both nights.
The walk will take place on the Saturday (26th June) and will involve walking three peaks in the Brecon Beacons - Penyfan, Fanybig and Fanfar, which is used by the SAS as a training ground! We are expecting the walk to approximately be about eight hours long. The party will then return to the campsite for a barbeque and return home on Sunday.
Quins are looking for 30 walkers to take part, with the aim being to raise approximately £9,000 in total. This would mean we would hope each walker would raise in the region of £300.
