With over 4,200 Season Tickets sold in less than two months, NEC Harlequins have elected to cap their Season Ticket sales for the 2004/05 season at 5,000; increasing their original target by 500. This is due to the overwhelming demand the Parker Pen Challenge Cup Champions have received for Season Tickets to date.
Quins have already sold out of Gold, Premier, Club and Dugout season ticket categories, but supporters can still purchase seats in the new covered North stand, as well as in the Tryline, Touchline and Jester sections of the stadium.
Each Season Ticket holder will reserve their seat for all of Quins 11 home games in the Zurich Premiership and the three pool fixtures at the Stoop in the Heineken Cup next season.
"I am absolutely delighted by the response we have had so far to the Season Ticket campaign," said NEC Harlequins Chief Executive Mark Evans. "For the fourth year in a row we've seen an increase in Season Ticket sales, clear evidence that our fan base continues to grow."
"We're very confident we will reach our new target of 5,000 Season Ticket holders for next season. This will be a great base for next season when we hope to increase the capacity at the Stoop to 12,500 for the 2005/06 season."
"A planning application for a new 4,000 seater West stand is currently lodged with the local council. These sales underline how vital it is that we expand our capacity in the very near future."
