NEC Harlequins are delighted to announce that a number of their rising young stars have signed new contracts that will keep them at the club for a further two years.

Chris Bell, Nick Duncombe, Rob Jewell, Scott Bemand and Luke Sherriff have all agreed new two year deals that will see them continue their careers at the Stoop for the foreseeable future.
"Over the last couple of years, the identification and development of young players at the club has been given a high priority," said Mark Evans, NEC Harlequins Chief Executive. "As we seek to build the future on firm foundations, I am delighted that this group of talented young men have agreed to pledge their loyalty and commitment to NEC Harlequins, even though a number of them had alternative offers."
"I have really enjoyed my first season in professional rugby at NEC Harlequins," said centre Chris Bell, who was voted the clubs young player of the year last Thursday. "It has gone well for me personally and I now have the opportunity to give our supporters something in return for the great support they gave us last season. I am delighted to have extended my contract with Quins and I am looking forward to the new season."
"I am delighted to have signed a new contract with NEC Harlequins and I am looking forward to the challenge of the new season ahead," said Quins and England scrum half Nick Duncombe.
The news comes at the same time as NEC Harlequins have sold over 1000 Season Tickets for the 2002/2003 season, even though next years packages have only been on sale for just over a week.
"I am thrilled by the excellent response of our supporters at this stage," said Tony Copsey, NEC Harlequins Managing Director. "What is even more pleasing is that 30% of those supporters are new Season Ticket holders. We are extremely confident of increasing the number of Season Ticket sales from last year and reaching our target of 4,000."
