NEC Harlequins make eight changes to the starting XV that defeated Bridgend 29-25 last Saturday for this weekend's Powergen Cup quarterfinal against Leicester Tigers at the Stoop, kick-off 2.00pm.
In the backs, Will Greenwood, Dan Luger and Paul Burke return after being rested last weekend and take the places of Chris Bell, Rob Jewell and Mark Mapletoft respectively. At scrum half, Nick Duncombe starts ahead of Scott Bemand, who drops to the bench.
In the pack, Keith Wood and Jason Leonard return to the front row. Wood has recovered from the strained calf muscle he picked-up in Quins 32-25 victory over Sale Sharks in the 6th Round of the Powergen Cup back on 15th December 2001.
Bill Davison takes the place of Alex Codling in the second row and Tu Tamarua returns to the back row in place of Alex Alesbrook.
Quins will announce their replacements on the morning of the game.
"This weekend we face one of the sternest tests available in Northern Hemisphere rugby," said John Kingston, NEC Harlequins Head Coach. "Leicester are a formidable outfit in normal circumstances. To have to face them in the Powergen Cup off the back of their defeat to Llanelli will make them all the more determined to come to the Stoop and get a result this Saturday."
"Having said that we are looking forward to the challenge and with the return of Keith Wood to our side, along with Paul Burke, Will Greenwood, Jason Leonard and Dan Luger who were all rested at the weekend, we will hope to be able to compete with what is currently the best team in Europe."
