Dan Luger suffered a knee injury in the quarterfinals of the Singapore Sevens tournament last Saturday while representing England against South Africa.
Following MRI scans and consultation earlier today, the injury has been diagnosed as a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament to his right knee, which will result in Dan being out of action until approximately February 2003.
Dan will be operated on later today.
"We are all desperately disappointed for Dan. Over the last three years he has been very unlucky with the injuries that he has picked-up, and this is very unfortunate. It will be a long road back for Dan, but everyone at Quins offers our full support and wish him a speedy recovery," said Mark Evans, NEC Harlequins Chief Executive.
