NEC Harlequins have qualified for the 2007/08 Heineken Cup following events at the Twickenham Stoop on Saturday (19th May). Despite the team not actually being in action, Bath's 22-16 defeat against ASM Clermont Auvergne in the European Challenge Cup Final at the Stoop means Quins claim the seventh spot on offer for English teams.
There will be seven English teams in next seasons Heineken Cup following London Wasps 25-9 victory over Leicester Tigers in yesterday's (Sunday 20th May) final of this seasons tournament at Twickenham.
Despite the top English and French Clubs initially withdrawing from next seasons Heineken Cup just over a month ago, ERC confirmed yesterday that they will now participate and the tournament will continue as planned.
Quins will make their sixth appearance in the tournament next season, having reached the quarterfinals in 1996/97 and 1997/98.
Quins three home pool matches in the Heineken Cup will be covered by ALL 2007/08 season tickets. Full details about these can be found by clicking here.
During week commencing 22nd April Harlequins will launch an innovative, new Membership Scheme which will replace the existing Season Ticket Holder Programme. Further details of the scheme will be announced in due course.
