Former New Zealand fly half Andrew Mehrtens, who has spent the last two seasons at NEC Harlequins, has signed for French Division Two club Toulon on a one-year contract.
The 34 year-old joined Quins in the summer of 2005 and scored 225 points in his first season at the Club to help them gain promotion back to the Guinness Premiership at the first attempt following their relegation to National Division One. However, a variety of injuries restricted him to just nine league appearances over the last season.
During week commencing 22nd April Harlequins will launch an innovative, new Membership Scheme which will replace the existing Season Ticket Holder Programme. Further details of the scheme will be announced in due course.
