On 12th July, three members of the Harlequins office staff will be embarking on the '3 Peaks Challenge' in aid of the official charity; The Greenhouse Schools Project.
Zoe Westlake (Meetings and Events), Ed Spokes (Technical Analyst) and Seth Wise (Brokerage Manager at Sportingclass) have all been training hard in preparation for what will be a grueling task as they attempt to climb the three tallest peaks in the United Kingdom within a 24 hour time period.
By climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, the Harlequins team hope to raise £3,500 for the Greenhouse Schools Project. Greenhouse uses the power of sport to teach vulnerable and disadvantaged 11 to 16 year-olds life and social skills, using facilities at leading independent schools to which they would not otherwise have access.
Commenting on their impending adventure, Seth said: "It's going to be physically demanding and a real race against time. We've been training hard though, so fingers crossed the weather will be ok and we're able to complete the challenge within the time frame."
"Whilst I'm in no doubt that the experience will be both fun and rewarding, the more serious side of it is that we are trying to raise as much as we can for an extremely worthwhile cause. With this in mind we encourage you to take a few moments to go to
www.justgiving.com/harlequins and offer any donations and messages of support that you can - thank you."
