Harlequins have selected a 23-man squad for their pre-season friendly against Manu Samoa at the Twickenham Stoop on Friday (17th August), kick-off 6.00pm.
In the pack, new signings John Brooks and Chris Brooker start at tighthead prop and hooker respectively, with Wales international Ceri Jones completing the front row line-up. Lock forward Jim Evans will captain the side and partners Ollie Kohn in the second row. Chris Robshaw starts in the back row, having missed all of last season with a knee injury.
In the back division, fly half Seb Jewell starts alongside scrum half Danny Care, just as they did for the England Under 20s team earlier this year. Academy centre Tosh Masson partners Hal Luscombe in the midfield, while England international Mike Brown is at full back.
New signings James Percival and Phil Davies are amongst the replacements, as is Academy professional Ryan Manyika, who was part of the Zimbabwe Under 19 squad that competed in this years World Championship.
Aside from those players involved in the World Cup, injury rules out Alex Rogers, Tani Fuga, Mike Ross, Will Skinner, Paul Volley, Chris Malone, Adrian Jarvis, Stuart Abbott and Jordan Turner-Hall, though the majority of these player should be fit come the start of the Guinness Premiership season. Furthermore, Academy professionals Greg Bateman, Tom Sargeant and Seb Stegman are currently away with the England Under 18s squad in Australia.
