The former England number 8, Dean Ryan, took over the Head Coach position at Gloucester during the summer and with Gloucester flying high in the Premiership, he insists that they will not be complacent when Quins visit Kingsholm on Saturday 24th November, kick-off 3.00pm.
"'We have worked really hard this week to ensure there was not a bit of a lull after the Heineken Cup. The last couple of weeks have been exceptionally high intensity and the danger is we relax this weekend.
'As a group we have identified individuals who will get our preparation right because the emphasis is much more on ourselves this week. I think Quins have upped their standards and have developed really well as a side and a lot of credit must go to the coaches in charge for that.
'They are top of the table contenders and we will treat them as such. They are also in the Heineken Cup which makes them one of the best teams in Europe and we will be ready.
'What they have done well is add quality players each year. That is a long process but one or two always come in ' the likes of De Wet Barry add tremendously and with competitors like Paul Volley in their side make them very serious opponents.
'Dean Richards has an eye for a player but we have to be responsible for ourselves this week, will select accordingly and be fully focused. This is a massive game for us.'
